The Qolsys Pre-Wired Fire Module offers a cost effective way of integrating hardwired security & smoke detector zones with the IQ Panel 2/2+. Whereas the standard Qolsys 16 Zone Takeover Module doesn’t support fire zones. In addition, it includes backup battery charging, 500mA of 12volt auxiliary power, an on-board siren relay, built-in status LED’s for each zone as well as support for up to 10 two-wire smoke detectors. Furthermore, normally Open and Normally Closed contacts are supported as well as powered zones like motion sensors and glass break detectors.

The Qolsys Pre-Wired Fire Module offers a cost effective way of integrating hardwired security & smoke detector zones with the IQ Panel 2/2+. Whereas the standard Qolsys 16 Zone Takeover Module doesn’t support fire zones. In addition, it includes backup battery charging, 500mA of 12volt auxiliary power, an on-board siren relay, built-in status LED’s for each zone as well as support for up to 10 two-wire smoke detectors. Furthermore, normally Open and Normally Closed contacts are supported as well as powered zones like motion sensors and glass break detectors. It does not come with the back up battery so you will want to choose either the 5Ah or the 7Ah to go with it.

How to add to your Qolsys Panel
- Install the Antenna and the power and back up battery
- Connect zones with 4.7k resistor
- Wire tamper switch with a switch or a piece of wire.
- Clear or factory reset by holding down the factory reset button while powering it up
- Then press the eol learn button until you see all leds light up and then turn off (eol cal will turn on letting you know it is in learn mode)
- Now put your Qolsys panel in auto learn mode
- Trip the tamper to add it as a translator
- Trip each zone, one at a time and learn them into the panel. (the led will stay lit until you exit learn mode after you learn a zone in)
- Once you are done learning in zones push the eol learn button again
- If you are using the siren output make sure to put a wire from AUX out to In Siren. then connect the siren wires to ground (black) and out (red)
