The Lyric Siren is a wireless siren designed for the Lyric controller.  This is the first wireless siren by Honeywell that offers chiming capabilities, LED confirmation, and volume adjustment and it is fully battery-powered.  This device will communicate using the new wireless protocol which uses 24.GHz frequency and endeavors to provide more reliable connectivity, longer range, and battery and RF signal level readings on the panel and remotely on Alarmnet.

Additionally, this siren offers a chime feature that doesn’t rely on the main control panel or the installation of an additional wireless keypad.  Previously, the control panel siren would only sound a full alarm, and you had to install the auxiliary keypad to produce a chime noise outside of the main control panel. But this siren offers an easy way to incorporate siren sound and chime to your Lyric system, and it only requires 4 AA Lithium batteries!

This siren also uses the SIX technology and MUST be enrolled as a wireless zone on your Lyric controller.  Comparable to any RF Six device, you’ll auto-enroll the device by clicking into the serial number field, and powering it up for the first time OR pressing the tamper switch. Then you’ll need to wait 20 seconds to obtain a solid connection.  The LED light will rapidly flash green for 12 seconds, when it stops you’ll then trigger the tamper switch again to lock the device.  The LED should flash solid green for 3 seconds.  Make sure to always incorporate the farthest SIX devices from the panel first, after that it is less important.
