03 Feb ADT Hardwired Window Sensor with Leads
The ADT Hardwired Window Sensor With Leads is a surface mount contact that comes with two pieces: the sensor and the magnet. This is a miniature sized magnetic contact with wire leads. The contact has two wire leads and a built in reed switch. You should mount it on the door or window frame. The magnet, identical in size, closes the circuit when next to the contact, and you should mount it on the door or window. This sensor comes with self-adhesive strips for easy mounting, and it also has cutouts for mounting with screws if you prefer. The two 12” lead wires should be connected to your hardwired alarm control panel. You can connect multiple contacts on one circuit or zone of your security system. (Remember to use a wire connector when splicing wires.) You can also have one on each zone if you prefer. When mounting, keep in mind that the maximum standard gap between the contact and magnet when you close the door or window should be just 1”.
