The Vista 20P Kit with Alpha RF Keypad supports up to (48) total zones of protection. There are (8) hardwired zones built into the alarm control panel itself. Using the zone doubling feature, you can expand those (8) zones up to a total of (15) zones. You can always add on hardwired zone expanders if you want more than 15 wired zones.

It has up to 40 wireless zones that you can add with the wireless receiver that comes built into the Custom Alpha Keypad that this kit comes with.

The panel is also known as a Safewatch Pro 3000.

The VISTA 20P is controlled by wired alarm keypads.

What comes with it?

Vista 20P Kit with Alpha RF Keypad comes with the following

It does NOT come with the following (and you might want to add these)

You can use terminals  to wire a traditional phone line if you want phone line alarm monitoring for your alarm control panel. Most people add a cellular communicator so they do not need a landline phone and also so they can control the system from their smart phones.

What powers it?

The alarm control panel is powered by an included plug-in 120VAC transformer. This must be wired to terminals 1 and 2 on the alarm control panel’s terminal strip. Terminals 4 and 5 provide auxiliary power (up to a maximum of 12VDC, 600mA) for powering devices like keypads, motion detectors, glass break detectors, etc. Terminals 3 and 4 supply up to 12VDC, 2AMP alarm output for compatible sounders (the one it comes with is plenty loud, but if you have a basement or if you want an exterior siren or strobe, you can add that also).

When something trips the burglar alarm, the VISTA 20P uses a steady output and when something trips the fire alarm, it uses a temporal pulse. You can also use a rechargeable, sealed lead-acid type battery to provide backup power during power outages. You must use at least a 12VDC, 4AH backup battery, which should provide up to (24) hours of backup power.
