Helpful tip to check where to place agents

  1. If you have an iphone download the airport utility app, then go under your settings and scroll down until you find it. Then turn on Wi-Fi Scanner. Then open the app and scan. If you have an Android phone then download the WiFi Analyzer app.
  2. Check to make sure that the signal strength is -65dB or greater. (closer to 0 the better) If you place an agent further than -70dB away you risk it not working properly.

How to pair an alarm.com camera to the IQ WIFI

  1. Push the button on the back of the camera until the light is flashing blue, then press the WPS button on the IQ WiFi. It should then connect and the light on the camera should change to a solid green. If it does not check to make sure your IQ WiFi is connected to the internet and that your signal strength is better than -70dB.
  2. The other way you can try is to push the button on the back of the camera until you get a white flashing light. This is called access point mode. Then you can use a web enabled device like your phone, tablet, or laptop to connect to the WiFi that the alarm.com camera is putting off. Then go to 192.168.1.1 and scan for the IQ WiFi network. You can then enter the password and it should connect and turn solid green.

How to log into the admin on the IQ WiFi from a browser

  1. Go to 192.168.105.1 from a Chrome browser.
  2. The default login is admin and the password is the S/N on the bottom of the device.
  3. You can then manage and change settings from the browser like changing the name of the network and the password, check for firmware updates, set port forwarding, etc…
