The Gentex Photoelectric Smoke Detector works best for residential and commercial residential applications, including homes, apartments, hospitals, hotels, and motels. Additionally, this detector virtually eliminates nuisance alarms and delivers outstanding performance wherever reliable fire protection is required. This detector also provides a 9V alkaline battery for backup in the event of power loss.

The Gentex Photoelectric Smoke Detector also provides an exclusive patented three-position test feature that simulates a 0.85% and 3.5% actual smoke condition in full compliance with NFPA 72 as well as UL Standards. Options also include self-restoring 135°F integral or isolated heat thermals and Form A/Form C dry contacts for remote annunciation. In addition, the smoke alarms are also ANSI/UL 217 and ANSI/UL 1730 listed and are warranted for one year from the date of purchase.
