Skybell HD Bronze
$296.00
The Skybell HD Bronze is a more or less a high tech, upgraded version of the peephole. The peephole is a brilliant low-tech invention that lets you see who’s at your front door without having to open it. But it requires you to put your eye right up to the hole. This puts you in very close proximity to the person on the other side. Skybell had a better idea: A device that replaces your doorbell with a Wi-Fi camera and intercom. Now you use your smartphone to see—and talk to—the person on the other side of the door. This device is compatible with Honeywell Total Connect.

Features
This product contains a wireless video camera, a two-way radio, and a wireless-networking module that connects to your home Wi-Fi. Know the moment someone rings with push notifications directly to your phone. See who’s there with the built-in video, and even communicate with them via the two-way radio. You don’t need to go to the door to see who’s there; you don’t even need to be home. And you can configure the device to send alerts to multiple mobile devices if you want more than one person to receive them.
Skybell HD Bronze depends on the low-voltage wiring that powers your existing analog or digital door chime and transformer. So, you might need to do a little wiring if your home uses a battery-powered doorbell. The device does have a backup battery, should your home suffer a blackout. A silent mode will turn your door chime off if you don’t want to disturb someone at home, or if you have the type of pet that freaks out every time the doorbell rings. Skybell HD in Bronze doesn’t require a visitor to push the doorbell button to initiate a session, they just need to get close enough to trigger its motion sensor.
Requirements:
- Android Users –Â Please check if your device can use the SkyBell HD Android App.
- Skybell HD in Bronze requires full-time power and is designed to be connected to a wired, mechanical doorbell chime.
- Skybell HD in Bronze is only compatible with a low-voltage transformer with power from 8 to 36 VAC 10 VA or 12 VDC with an amp rate of 0.5 to 1.0.
- If you do not use a mechanical doorbell chime, you MUST use a 10 ohm /10-watt resistor for one connection between SkyBell and power source. Failing to do so will void the warranty.
- Skybell HD in Bronze works with the 2.4ghz band and connects to b/g networks. N-only routers should be set to also broadcast b/g. Dual-band routers should have a separate SSID for 2.4ghz band.
- You MUST connect your smartphone to the 2.4ghz network BEFORE syncing to Skybell HD in Bronze.
- SkyBell requires a full-time, fast-speed internet connection with 1.5mbps upload speeds
