The PowerG IQ Photo Beam XL is a PowerG wireless photoelectric beam detector that provides protection for outdoor perimeters. It creates an ‘upper’ and ‘lower’ beams between the transmitter and the receiver. Both upper and lower beams must be interrupted at the same time prior to the alarm signal being sent. So it eliminates false alarms caused by falling leaves, branches, animals and movement of vegetation due to weather. These types of detectors are not a new technology by any means. They are currently one of the best-established security solutions in the marketplace. Photoelectric beams detectors provide an invisible ‘fence’, which when broken by an intruder creates an alarm condition. This makes the PowerG IQ Photo Beam XL particularly suitable for perimeter protection.
