GE Interlogix Compatible Home Disaster Detector Key Instructions
Battery “+” faces towards spring.
Activating Zones – Flood Zone operates on unit when it comes from the factory. The enrolling actions (listed next) activate the Freeze and Overheat Zones. ACTIVATE ONLY THE ZONES YOU NEED (In order to extend battery life and prevent RF pollution).
Flood – Zone 0: RF DL ID ends in “0” (this RF DL ID is printed on sensor): Enroll by: pressing & releasing Tamper Sensor sends Flood Alarm & enrolls.
Freeze – Zone 1: RF DL ID ends in “1”: Enroll by: Holding Tamper down, Leaving magnet away from Reed Switch, while installing battery. Sensor sends Freeze-Alarm & enrolls.
Overheat – Zone 2: RF DL ID ends in “2”: Enroll by: Holding Tamper down, Having magnet next to Reed Switch, …while installing battery. Sensor sends Overheat Alarm & enrolls.
GE Interlogix Compatible Home Disaster Detector Operation
Flood (1st ID ending in 0) – Alarm: when liquid rises 0.040 inches above sensor bottom. Tamper: when cover is opened. Supervisory: every hour.
Freeze (2nd ID ending in 1) – Alarm: when room temperature drops below 40F. Tamper: when cover is opened. Supervisory: every hour.
Overheat (3rd ID ending in 2) – Alarm: when room temperature rises above 100F. Tamper: when cover is opened. Supervisory: every hour.
Specifications:
Flood sensing: Titanium contacts 100K-Ohm nominal (DO NOT use an EOL resistor) . Transmitter handles 1 or 2 flood elements, no more. 0.04 inch floor spacing to eliminate floor condensation falses. Checks for moisture every 5 seconds: needs two positive moisture checks to send Flood alarm. (test mode: every second when cover is off)
Freeze Alarm: 45F +/- 2F Restores when temp increases 4F from alarm
Overheat Alarm Temp: 100F +/- 2F Restores when temp decreases 4F from alarm
Mounting hardware: #6 or #8 screws Dual Mode mounting: Screwed to floor Screwed to wall
