ADT DSC Impassa Replacement Transformer

The ADT DSC Impassa Replacement Transformer is used for the ADT Impassa control panels if you need to replace your transformer with a new one. It is white has three prongs and steps down the 120AC in most home outlets to only 16.5V AC. The transformer has 40 Amps and has a plastic body. The terminals marked + and –. It also must match up with your control panel power terminals.

The screw that is on the top of the transformer is to prevent anyone from accidentally unplugging the power to your alarm system from your outlet. You might need to unscrew it in order to plug it in and then you can remove the screw in the wall plate and replace it with the one that is on the power supply.

Warning: Be careful not to wire the power supply incorrectly or you will need to pay for a replacement if it blows. Keep unshielded wire under the terminals and choose the right polarity (+ or -) and you will be fine. Wait till you are completely wired up before you plug it into the outlet.
