This 2GIG Enhanced Takeover Module is the encrypted version that secures the communication between the module and connected devices. It involves encoding the data in such a way that it can only be deciphered by authorized parties who possess the decryption keys. This ensures that even if someone intercepts the data, they cannot understand it without the proper keys. Compared to the 2GIG Takeover Module – Super Switch which is the non-encrypted version, this module is more secure and is typically preferred for applications where data privacy and security are critical such as alarm systems, access control, or home automation. Each module has the capability to convert up to 8 hardwired zones into 8 wireless zones, specifically accommodating dry contacts. It operates at a voltage range of 9-16 VDC and consumes a mere 50 mA ensuring it won’t strain your power resources.
