The Prodatakey Keypad Reader is a Wiegand output keypad with an integrated proximity reader. So you get the best of both worlds with the Prodatakey Keypad Reader.  The keypad is back-lit with a built-in Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor for anti-tamper. Because it’s waterproof, you can mount it either inside or outside in harsh environments. It uses the usual 22/6 wire back to the control panel. You can either use a code to enter or swipe a proximity fob or require both.

If you are looking for a newer model with encryption or Bluetooth check out these other readers. You can get readers that fit on a slim door jam that are called mullion or you can get standard size that fit over a single gang box.

Installation instructions:

• Drill 2 holes (A, C) on the wall for the screws and
  one hole (B) for the cable
• Knock the rubber bungs to holes (A, C)
• Fix the back cover on the wall with 2 screws
• Thread the cable though the cable hole (B)
• Attach the unit to the back cover
