The ProSeries Outdoor Motion Viewer is a weather-resistant outdoor security device that enhances the effectiveness of home security systems by providing visual verification of motion events, offering remote access capabilities, and seamlessly integrating with other components of the ProSeries security solutions.​ When the motion sensor is activated, the camera instantly takes either a still photo or a 10-second video clip, depending on its settings, and transmits that to the control panel and the user’s Total Connect 2.0 account.

When the ProSeries Outdoor Motion Viewer system is armed and the motion detector senses motion, the camera captures an image or up to a 10-second digital video clip. The alarm is reported via the control panel to the central monitoring station, while the video or image is delivered to Total Connect along with a notification, by the system’s configuration and programming. The video or image may also be viewed at the ProSeries control panel or secondary touchscreen keypad.

The ProSeries Indoor and Outdoor MotionViewers are battery-powered devices that include an integrated PIR motion sensor, digital video camera, and white illuminator. When installed in a ProSeries (PROA7PLUS) security system, it can detect a potential intruder, record a short video clip, and transmit it to Total Connect where the end user can verify if it was a false alarm or not.

The confirmation that an intrusion or other event is in progress can reduce false alarms and help achieve a faster, higher-priority response from first responders. When the ProSeries system is armed and the motion detector senses motion, the camera captures an image or up to a 10-second digital video clip. The video or image may also be viewed at the ProSeries control panel or secondary touchscreen keypad. With ProSeries, these devices can also be programmed to deliver notifications to the end-user, using the new Awareness or 24-hr. Awareness Zone Response. The device may be programmed to be active only when a partition is armed (Awareness) or always on (24-hr. Awareness), and may be configured with various sound options when triggered.

The sound options include None, Chime Only, Continuous Trouble beeping, and Alarm On siren. When motion is detected, the device captures an image or up to a 10-sec video clip which is sent to the panel and subsequently to Total Connect. Both the panel (and secondary touchscreens) and Total Connect receive a notification that an event was detected. An optional curtain sleeve is available for the PROOUTMV allowing the installer to customize the activity area that the PIR monitors.
