Preload Electric Strike
This Preload Electric Strike has a preload release function. This function allows the strike to operate throughout the year under varying conditions such as: air conditioning pressure, changes in the weather, warped doors, and doors with weather stripping that typically binds standard strikes. This strike also accommodates cylindrical latch bolts up to 5/8″ throw and rim exit latch bolts up to 3/4″ throw.
It is a compact, high-performance electric strike designed for low-profile openings where there is limited space behind the jamb. Its strength is derived from a unique keeper pin locking design, enabling the 5000 to exceed the ratings of the frame, door, and locking hardware. This field selectable fail secure/fail safe unit is easy to install and accommodates latch bolts up to 5/8″ throw. Lastly, it features an in-frame horizontal adjustable design to simplify the installation process. This feature allows the installer to easily adjust the electric strike opening to accommodate the horizontal position of the latch bolt after the strike has been installed.
