The Hardwired Sensor with Terminals and Hinged Case is unique in that the contact is enclosed in a hinged case that snaps open, therefore, you don’t have to worry about losing any parts. Normally examining a contact takes a little work because you will need to pry apart the cover, usually using a screwdriver. Having a hinged case easily relieves oneself of that ordeal.

This hardwired sensor has a 1-1/8” wide magnet gap, so your contact must be within 1-1/8” of the magnet when the door or window is closed. You can attach the contact either through the adhesive tape it comes with, or by using two screws (not included). It is recommended that you install the magnet onto the moving door or window, and the contact onto the non-moving frame. This is to prevent damage to the contact.

You can use this sensor with almost any Hardwired Control Panel.
