This product is discontinued. This other glassbreak is also compatible and a great replacement.
The GE Wireless Glassbreak Detector is ideal for applications where hardwired acoustic sensors are impractical. It listens for actual patterns of breaking glass using PR Technology. Additionally, These sensors feature a 20′ (6 m) range from sensor to glass. The sensor is also suitable for use in quiet occupied areas on the perimeter loop.
In addition, a simple hand clap feature lets the user confirm that the sensor is operational, or a handheld tester can be activated at close range.

Glassbreak detectors are a second layer of protection in case a criminal breaks a window without tripping the window contact. They should be placed on the wall opposite the windows to get the best coverage. But you should not use it in rooms with heavy drapes covering the windows. If the room is especially large, mount the detector on the ceiling no more than 20′ from the windows. When arming your system in “stay” mode, glassbreak detectors will continue to protect a room when the motion sensors are off.
