Bluepass Multi-Tech Reader works as a Mobile Credential Management Ecosystem that combines smart device-based mobile credentials and multi-tech Bluetooth/Prox readers, providing for a more secure, easy-to-use approach for credential management.

Additionally, it reduces the total cost of system ownership by extending the life of existing system controller and hardware investments, while also allowing for a smooth migration from to mobile credentials with a cloud-based credential management and issuance system.

End-users experience a new level of convenience, as their Bluetooth-enabled smartphone becomes a mobile credential for their existing access control system. No need to carry a fob or card, and no more worries about misplaced fobs or cards. Additionally, system managers can also convert existing access systems to mobile credentials over time. This reader works with existing cards and fobs, while enabling mobile credentials on the BluePass app.

A Combination Of Technologies For Exceptional User Experience

Bluetooth LE provides the secure transmission of the credential to the reader. In addition, it also uses patented technology to transmit your data when in range. Like a traditional card, just touch and go by presenting the phone to the reader. While 125kHz technology leverages your legacy credentials until they are no longer needed.

Furthermore, unlike other offerings which require users to rotate their smart devices 90 degrees to activate Bluetooth signaling, or having to open an app, the BluePass user experience is identical to cards and fobs. Plus, simply present the phone to the multi-tech reader to request access. This approach is far more natural and intuitive.

In addition, the app that transmits the credential to the reader uses very little power as well as merely needs to be running in the background. Lastly, the app acts as a wallet and can store multiple credentials.
