If you are looking to get the resistor required for the Alarm.com Video doorbell, you can get it here. You will need it if you’re going to wire the video doorbell directly to a transformer (and not use an existing doorbell chime for power). Wiring up the doorbell may have been confusing, but this is most likely what you’re missing to complete the circuit and to finally get your doorbell to work. Additionally, you will need to connect it to the two white wires that are connected to the chime box like the diagram shown below. But you can’t just use any resistor for the doorbell; the resistor must be 10 watts and 10 ohms.

This resistor also works in other things as well, but you will need this resistor if you have the new alarm.com doorbell.
