Using secure, on-device facial recognition technology, the system learns and identifies familiar people who appear at your door. Once tagged, your camera can notify you when those individuals are detected—making your alerts more meaningful and reducing unnecessary notifications.

All facial recognition processing happens locally on your device. You stay in full control of how faces are tagged, stored, and managed.

Enable the Familiar Face feature

To enable the Familiar Face feature using the Alarm.com app:

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap Video .
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Familiar Face.
   *Note: If the account supports both Familiar Face Analytics and Familiar Vehicle Analytics, this option will list both. If it does not, the option will simply read Familiar Face.
5. Tap Face.
6. Read through and accept the Familiar Face Terms of Use.
7. In Camera Access, tap to select the desired cameras.
8. Tap Save.

To enable the Familiar Face feature using the Alarm.com customer website:

1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
2. Click Video.
3. Click Settings.
4. Click Familiar Face.
