The Alarm.com Wireless Video Doorbell battery can be charged using a 5V/1.5A USB wall charger and the supplied charging cable. Charging the battery is straightforward, but following the steps to ensure uninterrupted operation is essential. Here’s a step-by-step guide on charging your doorbell, checking the battery level, and setting up notifications for low and depleted battery levels.

To charge the Alarm.com Battery Video Doorbell:

Note: A fully depleted battery takes approximately 7 hours to charge.

1. Unlatch the bottom of the mount.
   
2. Remove the Alarm.com Battery Video Doorbell from the mount.
3. Separate the Video Doorbell Battery Pack from the body.
   
4. Plug the supplied micro USB cable into the battery pack.
   
5. Plug the USB end of the cable into a USB wall charger and insert the charger into an outlet.
6. The charging LED, located on the top of the battery pack, will be solid orange while the device is charging. The charging LED will turn solid green when charging has been completed.

Once the battery pack is full, it will indicate a solid green mark (). If the charging fails, remove the charging cable and re-attempt charging after an hour. 1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap Doorbell Camera.
3. Tap .
4. If there are multiple doorbell cameras on the account, tap the desired device.
5. In Battery Level, the battery level appears as a percentage. Tap  to update the number.

In-app versions 5.3+, users are now informed if their Alarm.com Wireless Video Doorbell Battery has any active issues such as Depleted Battery, Critical Low Battery (less than 10%), Low Battery (less than 20%), Low-Temperature (less than 5ºF), and High Temperature (greater than 131ºF). The battery status indicator icon will display in all video streaming interfaces on the Alarm.com app with the exception of Multi-Video Feed Grid View, Siri Shortcuts, and TV Interfaces. To create/edit Low Battery Notifications using the Alarm.com app

1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap Notifications.

4. Tap , or tap an existing notification to edit. (Low Battery (Video) Notification)
5. Tap Low Battery (Video) Notification.
6. Entered the desired name for the notification.
7. Select the Alarm.com Battery Video Doorbell
8. In Recipients, tap Add to select which contacts receive the notification.
9. In the Address Book, tap to select the recipients to notify, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book recipient.
10. Tap Close.
11. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
12. Tap Save.

To create/edit Depleted Battery Notifications using the Alarm.com app

1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap Notifications.
3. Tap .
4. Tap , or tap an existing notification to edit. (Low Voltage Shutdown)
5. Tap Depleted Battery (Video) Notification.
6. Entered the desired name for the notification.
7. Select the Alarm.com Battery Video Doorbell
8. In Recipients, tap Add to select which contacts receive the notification.
9. In the Address Book, tap to select the recipients to notify, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book recipient.
10. Tap Close.
11. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
12. Tap Save.
