ADT Pulse Now Works with Google Assistant

For Google-device owners, here is some great news: ADT Pulse now works with Google Assistant. It has had an integration with Amazon for a while now, so adding this ability for google lovers is awesome.

Let’s dive in to what that means and what you can expect!

Google Assistant & ADT

ADT recently announced a partnership with Google, meaning that as of June 24th, ADT combined with Google’s voice-controlled technology, giving Google and ADT owners a super convenient way to to secure their homes and take their security to the next level.

If you own Google Home or Google Home Mini, or are planning on buying these in the near future, you’re in luck -both of these Google devices utilize the Google assistant voice command technology. You can also just use your smart phone to say the same “ok Google arm my system” ADT commands.

With this integration, that means you can use either of these devices to control your system, like arm and disarm, control the locks on your doors, adjust your thermostats and lights, all with the sound of your voice.

But Google Assistant and ADT Pulse takes home security one step further.

Voice Prompts Making Home Security More Convenient

There are several voice prompts you’ll now be able to use to make it easy to utilize your security system’s features.

Let’s run through just a couple

Syncing your devices will be even easier. To set up your new device, it’s as easy as saying “Ok Google, Sync my devices” into your Google Home or Google Home Mini.

With your voice, you can also turn your lights on by saying, “Ok Google, turn on my lights,” or adjust your thermometer by saying, “Hey Google, set my heat to 70 degrees.” Want to lock your door? Simply say, “Ok Google, lock my door.”

With this integration, you can also group devices together to perform several functions when you issue one command.

For instance, if you have your downstairs lights grouped together, when you wake up in the morning, you can program them to all turn on by saying, “Ok Google, turn on my downstairs lights.” All your downstairs lights that are grouped together will then turn on.

Easy, Secure, & Advanced

ADT Pulse already offered such a convenient way for you to secure your home or work place remotely.

This Google Assistant announcement will make it even easier to utilize your systems features, so you can continue to protect the ones you love.
