The Recessed 3/4″ iON Plunger Wireless Transmitter 2GIG Compatible uses a roller plunger that has an internal magnet. There is no need for a separate magnet for this sensor.

The Nascom PLUNGER 2GIG is a 345 MHz wireless recessed plunger is compatible with 2GIG wireless compatible alarms. It is part of the iON line of sensors from Nascom. It is 3/4″ and easy to install. The PLUNGER 2GIG recesses into the hinged side of the door jamb and is powered by one (1) CR1620 coin-cell battery.

The PLUNGER 2GIG uses a roller plunger that has an internal magnet. There is no need for a separate magnet for this sensor. When the door closes the plunger is depressed and when the door opens, the plunger pops out and activates to send a fault or an alarm. The PLUNGER 2GIG would be installed into the hinged side of the door jamb. It would require a 3/4″ drill bit at a 1 1/4″ depth. An additional 1/4″ hole must be drilled to accommodate the antenna.

The CR1620 coin-cell battery is expected to last approximately five (5) years, depending on usage. When the battery is drained, the PLUNGER 2GIG will send a low battery signal to the alarm system. The battery should be replaced at that time and the trouble can be cleared from the alarm system.
