This NVT Phybridge 1701+ Base Extender can boost the downlink ports of an ordinary Ethernet switch to 420Mbps and PoE plus over coax, singles pair UTP, or 2-wire with up to a distance of 8,000ft (2.4km) in RG6. The 1701+ Extender solution means that IP IoT devices can now run on Coax, UTP, or even 2-wire cabling without adding extra cabling infrastructure and saving cost, time, and environmental e-waste. It is compatible with 802.3at/af PoE switches and provides up to 30W power output. For non-PoE switches or high power requirements (up to 100W) the 1701+ Base can be locally powered. LED lights show power, links, and data as they are on icons on the front panel. This NVT Phybridge 1701+ Base Extender is compliant with IEEE 802.3at/af such as enabled IP phones, cameras, access rights, speakers, and even facility lights.
