The GE motion sensor sits perfectly on a shelf, table, counter or desk, and can also be mounted to wall or ceiling by using the included mounting hardware. Once you decide on the best sensor placement for your home, you may choose to power the motion sensor using the included batteries for a cordless installation, or utilize the USB-powered option using a micro-USB cable and an AC power adapter (sold separately), and never worry about changing batteries again.
