Description

The ADT Serial Adapter for Polling Loops is a serialized two-zone expander that connects alarm sensing devices to controls, which support serial number polling loop devices. This adapter can be configured as one supervised zone (10K EOLR) and one unsupervised zone, or two unsupervised zones (normally closed devices only). You can use this adapter with the ADT Alarm Panel.

When installing security in a large warehouse type area, you can use this adapter since you can run one wire all the way around the building in a loop. Before, you would have to home run each zone back to the alarm panel. But if you have this adapter, you just install them around the loop at each door, window, motion detector, etc.

For Fire Applications: You should mount this adapter inside the control panel cabinet or inside a UL Listed junction box. You should use Loop 1 in the supervised configuration for Fire. You can also use Loop 2 for Burglary.

For UL Burglary Applications: If using an unsupervised zone of the adapter, you should mount the unit within 3 feet of the alarm initiating device, with no intervening barriers.

Features:
  • Micro-miniature two-zone V-PlexTM adapter
  • Makes any hardwired contact device V-PlexTM ready
  • Built-in serial number for addressing
  • One supervised zone and one unsupervised zone
  • UL listed fire and burglary applications
