The ADT Plus Door/Window Sensor Spacer is intended to enhance the performance of ADT Plus Door and Window Sensors when installation surfaces create a spacing or height difference between the sensor and magnet. It keeps the sensor in contact with the door to ensure the proper detection of opens and closes, particularly when the door is set against an uneven door frame or recessed window trim. The spacer is often employed when it is not possible to install the sensor and magnet within the recommended gap tolerance of 0.5” (12.7 mm). It accommodates the sensor or magnet, so that it can be detected accurately and minimize false tamper or “open zone” problems. This makes it an essential installation accessory for achieving optimal performance of your ADT Plus security system.

The spacer is designed to fit into the existing mounting system and is compatible with both DIY and professional installations of ADT Plus Door and Window Sensors.
