This 2GIG Wireless Hardwire Takeover Module is a smart solution for upgrading older wired alarm systems without replacing all the existing sensors. It converts hardwired zones into wireless signals that work seamlessly with compatible 2GIG panels, helping save time and upgrade cost. It’s especially useful for retrofit projects where the wiring is already in place, but the system needs to move into a modern wireless setup. The module supports up to eight wired zones per unit and includes an onboard switch that allows installers to choose encrypted or non-encrypted transmission depending on the job requirements. Flexible power, battery backup, and an auxiliary output help make system upgrades simple and reliable. The Takeover Module cannot be used to monitor Carbon Monoxide (CO) or Fire detection zones, and is intended for indoor use only.
