I have a basic concord 4 series system. I would like to be able to arm and disarm with a key chain type remote controller. Do I need to add any thing to my system and can you identify any particular remotes for me. I would also like to speaker that would let me hear the status of the system.
    Any help will be appreciated.

I do not have the installation or dealer codes. I do have the system master code is this sufficient to install the wireless key chain controllers? The installed key pad is alpha/numeric. If this is sufficient , please detail the procedure or reference a document. I also need the same info regarding the installation of a 319.5 rf door sensor. A window was replaced with a door and the contractor cut and sealed the wiring in to the wall, , now I’m replacing it with a 319.5 crystal door sensor.

You would need the Installer code in order to add a keyfob or door sensor to your system.

My system says that service is required. When I press *2, it says ‘control phone trouble’.
I am not currently connected to a service and haven’t had a home phone for several years.
When I set the alarm it starts to beep until I press the code again, then it is set.
    Can I clear this code

The way to clear that trouble is to either get a landline phone or to change the settings in programming so that it is not looking for the phone line anymore. Changing the programming is the most likely way to solve your issue. You could have a technician do this for you or have us try to help you do it over the phone.

Why is it beeping is the question? Low battery? loss of communication? could be several things. We resolve that and it will not beep anymore.
