It features built-in PoE to simplify installations and eliminate the need for separate power sources for cameras. The 4-Channel model includes 4 PoE ports and a compact, non-rack-mountable design, while the 16-Channel model includes 8 PoE ports and is rack-mountable (1U) for professional installations . When using smart tracking functions, the Mini Maxx NVR can notice and act on events quickly and directly connect with monitoring services for immediate alerts. It also enables streaming two-way audio, detects motion, provides notifications if the video signal is lost and initiates recording if the alarm goes off. A mobile app allows users to work with their server from anywhere, as up to 32 people can connect at one time.

In addition, there is email notification, DDNS, FTP service and compatibility with ONVIF v2.4 (Profile S). The Thermal System is CE and FCC certified and works well in a broad range of temperatures from 14°F to 131°F.
