This Axis 2-Door Controller Barebone Edge-Based is a durable and versatile product that allows powerful access control in various settings. Specifically designed for edge implementations, this controller is easy to install with integrations for PoE+ and direct DC input for locking solutions. With an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C (-40 °F to 158 °F), it can perform continuously, regardless of the conditions. It has six programmable auxiliary I/O ports for connecting different types of sensors to this controller. Up to four reader connections can be supported within it and there are two Form C relays for proper management of access control. Even if the network fails, the Axis 2-Door Controller Barebone Edge-Based can perform door access functions well and with constant security. The controller also has protective measures installed such as anti-tampering, lockout, user code bypass, and door shutting which offer optimal security against intruders.

In terms of scalability, it is excellent and it can store up to 250000 credentials and event logs. This is important since the system allows for multiple forms of identification including the latest innovations such as QR code and license plate recognition.
