The Surface Mount Magnetic Contacts with Leads are designed for use in installations where a small, sealed unit is required. The reed switch is also totally encapsulated in an exclusive polyurethane potting compound preventing moisture from entering the switch and causing false alarms.
The 5/8″ standard gap distance also allows for fast, easy installation and prevents false alarms from loose fitting doors. Furthermore, recessed mounting holes make for clean-looking installations (make sure to use a wire connector when splicing wires while installing). Several models are also available including wide gap, SPDT, and high security.
