What is Remote Phone Control and why does my alarm system pick up the phone when people call?
Remote Phone Control is a feature that most Honeywell Lynx Systems come with, but 
very few use it. It allows someone to arm and disarm their alarm system from a touch tone phone. They can accomplish this calling their home number and hanging up after a certain number of rings and then calling right back. The system recognizes this as a person trying to control their alarm system remotely.
When the alarm picks up it says to enter the access code to the alarm and then it will give you the status of the alarm and let you arm and disarm it.
This feature can be disabled if it is annoying. We can help you with this over the phone usually or you can schedule a service call.
Overall it seems that this feature is way more annoying than it is useful. How do you rate this feature?
