The Structured Media Enclosure with Flush Cover works to terminate all of the home-run wires from wall outlets and provide a distribution point for voice, data and video wiring in a residence or multiple dwelling unit. It comes in either 42″ or 28″ to fit for most applications to provide neat organization. Additionally, these enclosures are also ideal for new installations or retrofits. The Structured Media Enclosures (SMCs) surface-mounts or recesses by mounting it between wall studs (on 16″ centers), using provided wood screws for a clean and professionally finished appearance. After installation of the drywall, during the trim-out stage, the distribution panel(s) and cover can be installed.

Structured Media Enclosure with Flush Cover Description:
The Structured Media Enclosure with Flush Cover works to terminate all of the home-run wires from wall outlets and provide a distribution point for voice, data and video wiring in a residence or multiple dwelling unit. It comes in either 42″ or 28″ to fit for most applications to provide neat organization. Additionally, these enclosures are also ideal for new installations or retrofits. The Structured Media Enclosures (SMCs) surface-mounts or recesses by mounting it between wall studs (on 16″ centers), using provided wood screws for a clean and professionally finished appearance. After installation of the drywall, during the trim-out stage, the distribution panel(s) and cover can be installed.

Furthermore, the 28″ or 42″ enclosures should be a one-piece (excluding cover) box, made of 20-gauge, white powder-coated steel. They shall be flush mounted with four wood screws (provided) on standard 16 inch center wall studs prior to drywall installation, or surface mounted after drywall installation. The enclosures include multiple knockouts on the top, bottom, and sides to support conduit and facilitate cable routing and entry. The enclosures should meet all applicable standards: be cULus and ACA listed, comply with existing requirements, and be UL Listed for fire as well as burglary systems. While the manufacturer will provide a two-year limited product warranty.

- Holds quarter, half, and full-width expansion modules, with the ability to mount most modules vertically or horizontally
