Alarm.com Temperature Sensors

(1 customer review)

$55.00

With these Alarm.com Temperature Sensors, you can have precision comfort in the rooms where you spend your time in the home not just where the thermostat is located.

But this specific model has been discontinued and replaced with this new Alarm.com Temperature and Humidity Sensor.

Install sensors in your favorite rooms
Many times the thermostat is not located in the room where you spend most of your time. And if it is in your family room it does not know the temperature in your kitchen, bedroom, or basement. Now you can add temperature sensors on the wall in each of these rooms where the temperature matters. If you are a new parent maybe you want to know the temperature in the nursery (or the room your baby is in).

Features:

Adjust comfort to the room you are in
Once you have temperature sensors all over the house you can specify which sensor commands the thermostat.  An example of this would be if it was bedtime and the thermostat is downstairs, but the bedrooms are upstairs. Downstairs its a comfortable 72°F but upstairs it is a slightly too warm 76°F. You can then tell your Alarm.com Smart Thermostat to use the temperature upstairs instead of the one downstairs.
Create a room-based thermostat schedule
You can create a schedule where your ideal temperature follows you throughout the house.  Then you can use the different temperature settings to provide energy savings during the day (using the thermostat temperature), but when you return home you want the living room sensor to adjust and then when you retire for the evening the temperature settings will follow you in the bedroom. You could also set this by motion if you had multiple motion detectors in the home. (see below to get a glimpse at what this would look like)

Use an average temperature from all your temperature sensors
If there is not a single room you want to target but want the entire home to be a consistent temperature you can tell the thermostat to target the average of all the temperature sensors in the home.

I recently installed Alarm.com temperature sensors in my home, and I’m extremely pleased with their performance. The installation was straightforward, and the sensors are compact and unobtrusive.
