ADT Pulse Cameras – Options and Costs

Many people are choosing ADT Pulse because they want to not only protect their home but ADT Pulse Cameras are the best way to check in on the home or business. they also want to connect to their home. Using the mobile app or browser portal they can control their alarm system and many aspects of their home remotely.

If you have ADT Pulse cameras you can get pictures or video clips sent to you when an event happens. For example, when the front door is opened you can get a clip showing you who opened the door. You can see who armed or disarmed the alarm. You can see who opened the office door.

The ADT Pulse Video package starts at $399 upfront and $59.99/mo. A very affordable option considering other alarm companies are charging $67/mo.  It comes with the ADT iHUB and 1 indoor camera (the white one shown above) along with the ADT Security System.

You can add additional cameras for as little as $149 with Zions Security Alarms and you can have up to 10.

ADT Pulse Outdoor Camera

You can also add the black wireless infrared camera that is also an indoor camera. It is $199 and can see black and white in the dark since it has a few LEDs built in.

Coming in the next month is the outdoor wireless camera. It is not available yet but I am thinking the price will be around $300-$400 when it comes out.

High speed internet is required in order to add ADT Pulse with Video Cameras. The upload speed also needs to be fast enough.  The cameras also need to be installed close enough to the ADT Ihub in order to have a strong wireless connection.  If the cameras are to be installed further away there is a wireless repeater that you can add for $99.
The ADT Pulse service will record around a week or less. If you are looking to have a system that records for 30 days or so I would recommend getting a CCTV system and then adding ADT Pulse to it so you have the best of both worlds. The videos are recorded on site and off site and you can tie them into events on your alarm system. (Example: Send me a clip when the front door is opened)
