15 Mar How to add an ADT Pulse Camera to your ADT Pulse System
We have been getting calls, asking if they can buy an ADT Pulse Camera from us and install it themselves. If you already have ADT Pulse with Video, you can do it. If you don’t have ADT Pulse with Video abilities, you’ll need to upgrade your system first.
It’s very easy to add, and most people should be able to follow these instructions in order to add it. But keep in mind that you can only add one camera at a time.
Step 1
Login to your ADT Pulse Web Portal.
Step 2
Click on System Tab and then Manage Devices.
Step 3
Click on Cameras. (If you don’t have this option, it’s because you need to upgrade your ADT Pulse Service Level first. Call ADT at 1-800-238-2727 to do this.)
Step 4
Plug your camera into power. (You should see a blinking green light on the back)
***Old instructions only if you have the iHub and dont have a WPS button – Attach the bracket and antenna to the camera first. Connect the camera into the devices port on the back of the iHub (you will need a cat5 patch cable to do this and it doesn’t come with the cameras). The camera may be wireless but you must plug it into the ADT Pulse iHub in order to enroll it. Wait two minutes for both green lights to be green before moving on to the next step. (The portal will not be able to find it if it is not connected to the iHub yet.)
Step 5
Choose “Add using WPS”. Type in the 8 Digit Pin. Then hold down the WPS button for 5 seconds and you will see the alternating green and amber light. It will find the camera and add it to your ADT Pulse system. This can take up to 5 minutes, but it usually takes less. Once it’s added, you can unplug the camera and then plug it back in where you want to place it. You can choose to mount it on the wall (using the screws and anchors supplied), or you can choose to place it on a flat surface.
Some things to consider are that you can add up to 10 cameras and that there are only 3 camera options available right now. (A fourth if you consider the converter that can turn any analog camera into an ADT Pulse Camera. But it’s wired, not wireless.)
Don’t forget that you can also add lights, thermostats, and deadbolts very easily to your ADT Pulse system. Just buy them from this website and then follow the instructions to install. Any questions just give us a call.

Posted at 14:20h, 09 OctoberIf you already have one or more adt pulse cameras you can just purchase an indoor camera from our shop and then add it yourself. You just need to login to adt pulse from a browser and click on the system tab on the top right and then manage devices. Then there should be an add using WPS button.

I got a new ADT system installed in the current home but only got 2 cameras included. Please advise as to what models are compatible right now. I can’t afford to pay what they are asking for 3 more.

Posted at 16:21h, 13 MarchIf your ADT account already has cameras it is really easy, you just purchase a camera from us that is compatible and add it. ($200-$250) If you do not have any video yet I would recommend you call ADT and tell them you want the ability and see what options they have to upgrade your monitoring level. Usually the monthly amount is $5-$10/mo more for plans that have video.
